Gaia Reborn
Gaia Reborn, the hottest MMORPG of the last decade, has seen millions of players experience its unique world - a combination of fantasy and reality. When Gaia Reborn was a game, one goal was to make the game world a one-half scale model of the real world. This pursuit was known as the Half-Gaia Project, and it is one of the aspects which led to Gaia Reborn becoming such a popular virtual world. With regional servers having unique areas, quests, cities, and monsters, it wasn't uncommon for people to create alternate characters on other servers to experience what felt like an entirely new game.
Ten years after the game's launch, millions of players have joined and created countless characters across the many servers. Now, with the release of the latest expansion, Pioneers of Arcadia, many are getting ready to begin new adventures in the new Italian server, exploring the new region corresponding to Italy, known in Gaia as Italia. Characters would have to start from fresh in this new world, but Italy would finally get its own piece of this world.
Countless players created their characters, logged in with excitement fueling their hands as the cursor swept across the screen, and then... darkness... Everything was black, and as their eyes opened, the players found themselves in the streets of an unfamiliar city. Looking around to survey their surroundings, many players realized this city was not so new after all. While desolate and ruined, the architecture conquered by vines and greenery, this city was unmistakably Rome, but at the same time, it was not. Finding themselves in the bodies of their characters, trapped in the world of Gaia Reborn, players are left to adapt to their new reality in this fantasy world.
Church bells rang from the cathedral, an old relic of artisan craftsmanship. The acoustics of the ivory halls were designed to amplify the sound of the ebony organ that rested in the very back of the cathedral and generate a form of surround sound for the choir that gathered in the halls during ceremonies. BunnyFox found serenity and bliss in the synchrony of their harmonious voices when they came to perform. She took delight in many classical works of art and found this place interesting with all the variety of different races. The place was a lively refuge for worship, but to which gods, BunnyFox did not know. It seemed that they honored different deities then what the standard was on Earth.
It seemed similar to perhaps how Greeks, Romans, and people of Athens honored certain figures they believed held influence over different aspects of the land. Their culture seemed so primitive in nature, yet so refined in the matter of academia. The street corners were often filled with scholars and alchemists conversing about the next brilliant accommodation they could attribute to society.
Church officials had begun to talk to merchants about the tragedy they were having in supporting the adventurers that were occupying the church because they couldn’t afford to rest at the inn. However, the merchants were succumbed by greed and their passions for coin and expressed that if they kept donating goods to the church that they would soon not be able to meet their overhead costs.
“But please, Sir Bellemonte, we cannot allow our people to starve”, the priest cried out as he looked at the herd of fatigued and discouraged adventurers that lined the benches and rested on mats. BunnyFox had never seen such aspects of poverty and depression before in her life. The place looked like the solace of a FEMA camp in her world. Though prestige and fame would have her far removed from such things. Ignorant due to her own indulged isolation was the testimony of her prior life as a celebrity. She shivered at the cruelty of the merchant’s response.
“Spare me, Brother Reynolds, you know as I do the witchery of these insatiable adventurers. If they must starve, then let them. It’s not like the beasts die. Shouldn’t we focus on feeding ‘our people’ . The very ones that helped build the cathedral you collect your offerings from? What good use have these servants ever been to us?” The elf adorned in brightly colored garments replied bitterly.
The Faunri adventurer was irritated at the disgust that the scornful Alvwas exhibiting, especially in a place that should at least promote “moral righteousness”. She folded her arms firmly as she confronted the Lander Alv.
The cobalt blue haired Faunri’s eyes glowed from a soft angelic blue to the tune of a raging golden sun. She was dressed in a purple turtleneck with dark purple cargo pants and ebony boots. Also, a dark brown trench coat was worn over her short sleeved turtleneck for extra comfort against the cold environment. Tivoli was experiencing the seasons of frigid winds. As she stood there scowling, she spoke sternly to the bigot.
“And what about all of the quests and services that we provide? We help out too, you know!” The Faunri spoke in her English accent as her blue tail wagged in anger. “We pick up a lot of jobs around town to help serve this city. What about that?”
The hateful elf squinted at her with a sneering gaze. “That is precisely the problem young Faunri. Your kind of filth is stealing jobs from those of us that actually have to earn a living to survive. You go off doing whatever you wish for the sake of ‘fun and adventure’ and it leaves our coffers empty. What happens when you start rising in the merchant class yourself? Then our economy will be ruined. Personally, I believe we are better off without your kind and I’d love the day you all leave this city and go about your merry way!”
BunnyFox stood there with a loss for words as her gaze wavered towards the ground in a defeated expression. She never thought about the detriments that the adventurer society could have on the Landers. It was a messy predicament, yet one that couldn’t seem to be helped. Her heart sank as the priest came over to rest a hand on her shoulder.
“Everything will be alright, Lady BunnyFox. People just need time to understand that we are all working towards a common purpose.” the priest in white robes with streaks of red said reassuringly.
BunnyFox nodded at Brother Reynolds. “ I understand, I guess I’m just not used to how this world works still...there’s still so much to learn. But as long as I’m here, I want to be able to help.”
Brother Reynolds smiled approvingly. “But all things shall come in time, Sister BunnyFox, the heavens smile upon you for your chivalry.”
A faint smile etched across the lips of the Faunri as her stomach started to growl.
“Poor child, haven’t I told you that you must eat! We still have some soup Brother Matthew is serving for the patrons. Help yourself to some!”
However, the soft voice of the Faunri whispered, “No, it’s alright. I felt like going on a walk anyway. I might do some hunting of my own in the meantime. “
BunnyFox then began to navigate through her window and scan through her inventory, equipping some accessories and checking her stock of potions and other things that might be helpful.
"Very well then. I can't stop you. Safe travels, Lady BunnyFox..." The half-Alv priest frowned as he bid farewell in a worried expression.
Like a hawk, the all watchful Eye of Horus settled on the current tensions between Landers and Adventurers. Her calculating gaze danced between the adventurers who gathered in the church for respite. She stood erect next to a pillar with her arms crossed. The church was no church to the Gods of Heliopolis and those adventurers with a keen eye could bear witness to the tattoos of hieroglyphs upon the winged Enoch’s skin that hinted at her ties to what they in their world may note to be Egyptian themes. Her style of dress also mirrored this fashion carrying many hues of white and gold. She lifted her head briefly and parted her lips to speak as she spoke in a Heliopolite accent that would sound like a mystical Egyptian accent to the adventurers.
“Glory to Geb. The King of the riches under the earth and father under the skies and sands whispers to me. If any present here wishes to come and accompany my tribe and learn how to live off the land and relish in this world and it’s bountiful joys, then come join me. Bring your tools and we will guide you to fertile fields teeming with precious resources. “
“Know the Earth, explore it’s beauties and reveal it’s hidden secrets, but do so in a way as to highlight their fundamental mysteries, not merely to explore their monetary value. Protect those who work in the earth with respect and punish those who ravish in it’s treasures without regard.Become one with the Earth, and you will know Geb, who abides in it. Geb will lead you to inner peace through steadfast knowledge and lend you the strength of the living rock to defend and protect you in your time of need.” As she seemed to speak of this Geb as if he were a deity whom she honored, she leaned off the wall and expanded her wings and with one wave of her hand commanded those who wished to join her to follow.
For those who chose to follow her and her tribe, they would find the desert nomad mounted upon her warhorse, Anhur moving at a slow pace so they may keep up until they got to a precious field that overflowed with precious resources. Aminatu spent time mining ores and cultivating the earth. Members of her tribe seemed to perform well as hunter-gatherers and seemed very prosperous in terms of self-sufficiency. The diligent members of the tribe would offer assistance to those who needed it. After a while, Aminatu would check in on the adventurers and ask, “Salam. I am Aminatu, Huntsmaster and Shiekh of the Khi’fika tribe. So, tell me, what trade would you all wish to hone? What craft do you wish to cultivate? If you have no ambition to craft, gathering the precious bounties of the earth is a way to earn discounted rates from most merchants. I, myself, am a Blacksmith from the lands of Heliopolis. Should you wish for improved weapons and armor, you may also bring me ores. Our tribe has the necessary tools for this. You may help yourself so long as you return them afterward.”
Aminatu gazed at the adventurers and landers with intrigue and curiosity, observing their demeanor and disposition towards her and to the concept of labor and gathering as well. She wondered how motivated their spirits were to learn the ways of the land and have the strength to survive.

“I wonder if you came in need of Isis’s peace or have come to wield Anhur’s rage? The winds of the dunes tells me that you desire one or the other. There is no place in-between.”
The day was windy and Tivoli was indeed a quiet place to be. Paulette wasn’t sure what to do. She took the habit of wandering down the streets back from Romalia and kept doing it here. She was supposed to look for her brother but he probably was doing something higher relevant than just… walking. She had examined her screen board and learned her current abilities, which were very weak. She wanted to train herself and improve but found many more reasons not to try. First of all she remembered the last time she saw Roamurus and how it ended, plus she didn’t like the idea of hurting animals. "Is there a difference between animals and monsters ? How am I supposed to make the difference ? What happens if I arm an innocent bird ? What happens if I am injured ? Is it moral ? The existence of faunri doesn’t prove there are no boundaries between thinking beings and wild beasts ? What type of enemies can I attack with just a stick ? Shouldn’t I learn some basic combat techniques first ? Is there a coach somewhere in town ?... Yeah, better not go alone”. She had trained Saguaro already, he was a good learner for sure. Even though she knew he would flee at any danger. The better way to overcome his apprehension is to directly face this danger, but in a safe environment. Else it can be dangerous and also the fastest way to traumatize him. At the end it was all about gaining exp. If only she had something like a healing potion or equivalent…
She was still walking around, observing the city architecture when it hit her “Wait, aren’t I a pharmacist ?! Logically I should be able to craft some potions. I chose this talent because plants and Alv it was a sort of package in my mind. I may not be strong, but in this world or another, I’m good with nature. Do I have a recipe somewhere ?”
The purple haired Alv opened her screen board and searched for a file linked with her talent.
-Drug Mastery, yes I know but a recipe ?
Now she was talking outloud, still alone
-Oh I see ! There is a list of gatherables materials and if I found the good ones, I will be able to craft potions !
She stopped and looked at the sky. It was completely blue, despite the wind it was a good day.
No time to waste anymore, she glanced a last time at the plants with healing properties on the list, hissed her black stallion and left the streets in a gust.
Out of the city’s wall, Paulette slows down, being cautious of potential monsters. Arriving in a large meadow full of blue flowers and red clovers, she catches sight of a group of people in the distance.
From the back of her horse she can see them evolving slowly in the grass and on the rocks. “They look like they make field work… They have a good idea, this land has to be cultivated in order to give some food. Maybe I can help them ?” While Paulette was observing them from afar, Saguaro noticed a horse mounted by one of them. He neighs, his shrill scream echoed across the landscape.
Paulette was now being seen by those people so she trotted peacefully over them. Greeting the troup by raising her hand.
Getting closer, she could distinguish more details. It was a woman who was riding the fiery black horse. She had shiny accessories that were sparkling in the sun, a great showing and seems to have a lot of equipment. She looked like the leader of the group.
Finally within earshot, Paulette slows down and says with a smile
What to do. Trivoli didn't turn out to be as far and unreachable at it first seemed to be. The location of the town made for good walking practice to get into the routine of stepping out of the town and back. There was still that issue of lack of a permanent residence and she didn't want to squander her money over inns and meals. There was the delicious garlic bread with the herb stuffed butter to live off of. As much as dining around several people for the public atmosphere, Alma no longer felt so confident in that since her last time of going out to eat among strangers. Something about causing a minor scene and being self-conscious around the townsfolk. Worrying that this may further cause self-inflicted alienation did the woman stumbled across a rather strange procession.
Names of fellow Adventurers in the odd ways they came in mingled with people who followed after a woman on a horse. It wasn't like anything Alma had ever witnessed thus far. Too organized and loosely uniformed. They marched from the main city road to the exit from how Alma observed. Her steps trailing along from a distance at first to slowly merging in with the group. She asked the person next to her who looked like a horned humanoid like herself but kept human-looking ears to learn how this group began. A trek from one of the large church's north in the city to go learn nature? The idea felt odd as well as the number of people to do it. So this person was more to lead a procession to start gathering from the land. It was a safe idea though. More than enough people to dispatch any low-level creatures around but the method didn't sit well with her. As though something was off and wrong but couldn't place where it could be. Maybe it was the act of someone leading so many people outside. If this was a game back then would Alma have viewed this as a mock field trip of sorts. A tour for beginner players and the like.
But those ingredients weren't going to gather themselves. Word was to try gathering and learning from the land but the reality was that Alma wanted to do the opposite. A want to gather anything and everything she could get her hands on. If they turned out to be items she couldn't use then it would be sold or traded to other players. Well..what players she could ever have in her contacts list. Alma hemmed and hawed over this moral conundrum long enough to find her outside of Romalia's walls again and into the open countryside. For now, outside of the one person in the front, there didn't appear to be anyone that could stop and police people from doing something similar. If Alma could focus on gaining just items for her ink and paper then there could be some progress. For now, she figured it might be safe to keep quiet and gather along with the others to avoid drawing too much attention. Not that a tall, seafoam-haired horned deer Faunri was anything but inconspicuous.
Spectre sighed as he stared at a crowd of players and Landers underneath his robed hood. Unlike the time when he was dragged off by the players a week ago, joining this gathering expedition was his decision as he not only needed to collect some materials to work on his Scribe, but to know more about the Landers who recruited them. If he recalled, he was made aware of it after he noticed a dark-skinned woman with wings made a speech in what he could guess as an Egyptian accent. At first, he wanted to ignore it as usual. But unlike that arrogant Lander he saw, he was a bit interested at this... gathering escort. Plus, that woman seemed to be more bearable than that Lander, so he knew she might have some answers regarding their whole situation. If not, she might be a decent ally if his suspicions about her were cleared.
So here he was, following a crowd to their destination with his usual starter equipment with him along with his first sword. Just then, he noticed the same woman approached him and the Adventurers and asked them what they could achieve in terms of their craft and items they wished to gather. He refused to introduce himself due to his suspicions, although that part could be all for naught thanks to a name stuck on the top of his head. Although, he did speak up just to gauge her interest in gathering information.
"I'm just here to gather materials for paper and ink. I'm a Scribe, so I need them to create some notes and several magic items to aid me in battle. And just before anyone of you makes a misunderstanding regarding my appearance, I'm a Nozgor. So to prevent me from losing my strength at this time, I have to wear this robe at all times. That's all."
Being a silent introvert, he remained silent until someone asked an important question related to this world or they arrived at their destination. All he wanted was to get there and know more about the world while gathering the said items for his plans.
It had been aa rather uncomfortable mood within the church of Tivoli the last couple of days. As the discussion had come to light of the now very real existence of these entities so called 'adventurers' in notice by the proxy lord of Tivoli the other day, the large emergence of people taking shelter was no longer much of a mysterious event. The fact that they looked no more different than any other citizen, with the one distinguishing feature revealed through their mannerisms and unique terms came of as rather alien and frankly, quite frightening to Micaiah. It was clear many shared a smiliar sentiment, given the divide in opinions how to deal with this new population between the believers. Should they aid them? From a standpoint purely of their beliefs, helping those seeking their aid is a virtue and a given. But they'd already been struggling keeping up even before this drastic occurence. Was it truly correct to lend a hand to those that'd come out of nowhere over those whom'd lived their entire lives in Romalia til now? Not to mention how this affected the structure of things outside the church.
Micaiah had been on her way back resolving the laundry when from what it looked like, yet another breach point had been met, and an alv as well as a faunri were arguing with Brother Reynolds in the middle of the engagement. The poor and kind Brother Reynolds had never been the best at dealing with confrontations gained her pitying gaze. However, it didn't feel quite right to get involved in the matter, as she herself was yet conflicted on what to make of the newcomers or even differentiate them. She could but be thankful on behalf of her fellow believer when the case seemingly ended as swiftly as it had began, albeit at a rather bitter end. When a somewhat familiar face which had arrived to Tivoli just the other day suddenly took the stage...
With that, the young sister had now found herself in a lush and bountiful field. It wasn't as if it was some miraculous spot untouched and unrecognized by the citizens. But it remained as such from being located off the trodden path and some ways away from Tivoli, thus generally left alone. But why were they here? The bewinged visitors of Ankhet provided a simple solution to these adventurers that the church could not. Have them practise self-sufficiency through hunting, foraging and other gathering under a well guided hand of their tribe.
The reason as to why Micaiah came along was for one, that by accompanying those whom call themselves adventurers, she'd be a ble to resolve her own feelings regarding their newcome presence. Whilst the second was regarding a more personal interest of the enoch visitors. While their beliefs they so readily expressed were clearly heretical, enochs were fundamentally holy beings. The one leading the little expedition was unlike anyone Micaiah had ever seen. She was taller than any normal or even the taller man she'd ever encountered, with a powerful frame. Yet her proportions undoubtedly confirmed her female. How could there be such a difference? It felt as if she had around 2 feet compared to herself, and this difference just felt further exaggerated whilst seated on that steed of hers. Given the chance to interact with such a large group of them could not be anything other than a joyous occasion. More over, despite her gripe, it was no secret that plenty different faiths resided in Romalia alone. Clashes in beliefs between religions is an ugly affair and she'd rather just leave her own to her own than to start up something between those who were lending a helping hand.
But now that she were here, there was no reason as for her to not join in on some gathering of her own. On her last venture into the forest to gather ingredient with the encounter of Maruem and Gwyddion, she found her concluding harvest to be somewhat inadequate. This was a good chance for her to make amends for that. Maybe if she tagged along someone in the group, she could accomplish her first point along the way? "Hm?" on that thought, a pair of horns piqued Micaiah's interest. With the participants of the expedition having been gathered from those who'd recently frequented the church, Micaiah felt confident she was an unfamiliar face. Not to mention how easy it'd be for someone with such naturally striking colors to leave some sort of impression on someone in the first place. Was she an adventurer? With her gathering on her own, made the idea if approaching her all that much less daunting. Having made her resolve clear, the black clad sister made her way over to the deer faunri. And without having really thought of how to initiate the conversation, she uninspiringly "I hope you don't mind me asking, but what are you looking for?" it was a question thrown out by a complete stranger coming out of nowhere, but Micaiah tried to gloss such details over with a light smile. "My name is Micaiah. Would it be too much to ask if I could accompany you? I'd preferably not find myself on my own in such a big gathering like this you see."
Some people greeted her in return. They were already forming discussion groups, and looked a bit unsure about who was Paulette. She heard some whispers about her : She looked like them, newcomers adventurers with starting equipment and low capacities but she was riding a stallion like some kind of Heliopolitan soldier. "Maybe Cavalier is not such a popular talent these days". She was walking between their groups, not really caring about these gossips, trying to catch up to this impressive winged warrior woman. Everytime she was getting closer, the majesty emanating from this woman became brighter, but every time she had to get around another group of people. Riding a tall horse in the middle of a crowd wasn’t so easy. The young Alv didn’t really know what she could tell or ask, she just followed her curiosity towards this unknown leader. “Maybe she comes from a far away kingdom and I could ask if she knows an adventurer that could happen to be my sibling ? Maybe my little brother even is in this group, there are so many !” thought her while staring at all the faces gathered around her. It looked like there were mostly beginners adventurers, she was about to focus on their alien leader again when she saw a familiar face exceeding the crowd. Just a little in amount of her, there was a tall seafoam haired deer, no doubt were allowed, Alma was here too. Suddenly, she decided to dismount Saguaro and let him leave for now, and went to see her friend rather than try to speak to that strange woman. Her not that fiery stallion left in a gust of wind, it appeared he was also scared by crowds in addition to monsters, puddles, sharp objects, big objects, light through glasses… By foot, Paulette couldn’t embrasse the assembly but could walk more flexibly. Her friend was just a few steps in front of her and the purple haired girl rejoined her quickly. It appeared that Alma was already engaged in a talk with another person. When Paulette approached she saw the face of a girl with wide amber eyes and cleric outfit. She stopped before speaking, she was unsure about this new appearance. Like the other adventurers that were judging her previously, she hesitated about the status of this sister. Was she a high levelled adventurer with a limited clerical outfit or was she a part of a religious unity existing in this world ? "Maybe she took advantage of this gathering to recruit new believers ? Or was she just asking her way ?" From her place, Paulette couldn’t guess the purpose of the discussion nor if Alma was into it or not. She finally approached their little group at a slow pace and just waved at Alma to make her notice her presence. She genuinely wanted to respect the speaker and didn’t interrupt the conversation, staying a bit behind.

Welcome to the help dialog for the Custom Mini-Profile Creator plugin!
Click on any of the tabs above to go through the plugin configuration process!
You can access this menu at any time by clicking on the icon in the bottom right bar (may not be applicable if you're on Forums.net), or you can disable the welcome window and/or the icon by going to Plugins > Manage > Custom Mini-Profile Creator and changing the Show Help option.
This step is essential as it gives the plugin everything it needs on the page to get as much profile information as possible.
To make the profile variables work you'll need to add a new line to the very end of Themes > Layout Templates > Mini-Profile and paste the code below on it. The code should be placed completely outside of the mini-profile, so if you're using the default mini-profile template this will be after the very last closing </div> tag. This needs to be done on every theme you have the plugin enabled on as the template is theme-specific.
If your mini-profile template is already customized and you've hit the variable limit for your template you're free to remove any lines from the code below if they contain information that you don't plan on using. For example, if you have no plans to ever add a user's IP to their mini-profile for staff reference you can remove <div class="mp-info ip">$[user.ip]</div> from the code and everything else will still work just fine.
Once you've added the HTML from the Layout Templates tab you're ready to move on to building your mini-profiles. If you want to get going and try some out now or you're not very adept at HTML, CSS, or Javascript, worry not! This plugin includes some examples for you to try out. You're free to skip to the Custom Profile Fields tab and read over this tab later when you're ready to build your own.
Here's a quick rundown of each of the components in Plugins > Manage > Custom Mini-Profile Creator:
Name This is the name you'll be adding to your custom profile field dropdown once you've finished coding the mini-profile. Pretty self-explanatory. Make sure this name is unique from every other name you use for your mini-profiles or you'll end up overwriting the earlier ones in the list.
HTML This is the HTML that will go inside your mini-profile. You can use just about any HTML tag here so long as it's appropriate for where the mini-profile is showing on the page. Please refrain from using <style> or <script> tags here. You have the next two sections for that! Also, remember that mini-profiles can show multiple times on the same page, so you shouldn't add ID attributes to any of your elements here. Two elements on the same page cannot have the same ID per HTML standards.
CSS This is where you'll place what would normally go in your forum's style sheet or what would normally be between <style> tags. Try to code your mini-profile's HTML in a way that will allow you to target it specifically with your selectors. For example, you can surround all of the content in your HTML with a <div> element with a class and target that class and its child elements specifically with your CSS. That way you don't accidentally target every mini-profile on the page with CSS that was meant for the one you're building. One more thing: The forum theme's CSS still applies beforehand, so your mini-profile may look right in one theme but not in another. The best way to circumvent this is to define as many styles as you can to override the theme's CSS.
Javascript Anything that normally goes between <script> tags will go here. This one's a bit tricky since you'll obviously want to target the custom mini-profile specifically. Luckily there's an easy way to do that. In your statements you can use the $(this) variable to target the mini-profile if you're coding using jQuery. Otherwise, if you only plan on using standard Javascript you can target $(this)[0] instead.
Once you've finished building your mini-profiles it's finally time to add them to the Edit Profile page for use! To enable selection of custom mini-profiles you'll first need to add two specific custom profile fields in Members > Custom Profile Fields in your forum's admin area:
Mini-Profile Theme
Staff Mini-Profile Theme
Mini-Profile Theme is for mini-profiles that are designed for member use. You can set the Who Can Edit option for this field to Staff With Power if you only want staff to be able to choose mini-profiles for users. Otherwise, if you want members to freely be able to choose their own mini-profiles you can choose Members and Staff With Power.
Staff Mini-Profile Theme is for mini-profiles designed specifically for staff use. This field is completely optional.
Set the type for both of these fields as Drop Down Selection. Click on the (View/Edit) link to add mini-profile names to each of these fields.
If you've just installed this plugin you should have three different mini-profiles already installed by default: Example 1, Example 2, and Example 3. You can add these to your dropdowns to test them out and see the plugin in action.
If you're having trouble getting this plugin to work despite following the instructions in the previous tabs you may want to check that each of your themes meets the prerequisites below in Themes > Layout Templates > Mini-Profile.
First, ensure that opening tag of your mini-profile template includes the $[miniprofile_class] variable in its class. On the default ProBoards theme it should look something like this:
<div class="$[miniprofile_class]">
Next, make sure that the default {foreach} loop for custom fields is present inside your mini-profile. It doesn't need to be visible, so you're free to add it inside a hidden element if you don't plan on displaying it or if it would mess up the appearance of your own custom template.
Beyond that you can do whatever you like to the mini-profile template for the most part and it shouldn't negatively impact the plugin.
The following is a list of available variables for use in the HTML section of the mini-profile creator and their definitions. Adding any of these to a mini-profile will generate the content described in its definition in place of the variable so long as the information that variable outputs is visible to you.
To reference your forum's custom profile fields you can use $[user.customfieldname], substituting "customfieldname" with your custom field's name. You'll need to type the name in all lowercase with no spaces and only use characters A-Z and 0-9.
For example, Mini-Profile Theme becomes $[user.miniprofiletheme]. This will output the value of the custom field. In the case of this example, it'll be the name of the mini-profile theme you've chosen in your profile.
IMPORTANT NOTE: These will only work if you followed the steps in the Installation tab of this window on each of your themes. Any themes that do not include the template code specified there will not have these variables replaced in the mini-profile.

You can utilize the $(this) variable in the Javascript component to target the mini-profile <div> element. For example, if you wanted to add a class to the mini-profile you can use:
$(this).addClass('class-name-here');
Profile variables can also be used in the Javascript component in this plugin. In Javascript the value undefined is used to signify that a value doesn't exist for the variable you've specified. With this in mind you can use profile variables in Javascript conditional statements within the plugin similar to how they're used in the actual layout templates section of the admin area.
if(variable) will only run if the variable you specify has a value.
if(!variable) will only run if the variable you specify has no value.
Example 1 (variable has value):
if(user.group){
$(this).find('.group').show();
}
If the user has their group displayed in their profile the above Javascript would make the HTML below visible if you had it hidden with CSS.
