Gaia Reborn
Gaia Reborn, the hottest MMORPG of the last decade, has seen millions of players experience its unique world - a combination of fantasy and reality. When Gaia Reborn was a game, one goal was to make the game world a one-half scale model of the real world. This pursuit was known as the Half-Gaia Project, and it is one of the aspects which led to Gaia Reborn becoming such a popular virtual world. With regional servers having unique areas, quests, cities, and monsters, it wasn't uncommon for people to create alternate characters on other servers to experience what felt like an entirely new game.
Ten years after the game's launch, millions of players have joined and created countless characters across the many servers. Now, with the release of the latest expansion, Pioneers of Arcadia, many are getting ready to begin new adventures in the new Italian server, exploring the new region corresponding to Italy, known in Gaia as Italia. Characters would have to start from fresh in this new world, but Italy would finally get its own piece of this world.
Countless players created their characters, logged in with excitement fueling their hands as the cursor swept across the screen, and then... darkness... Everything was black, and as their eyes opened, the players found themselves in the streets of an unfamiliar city. Looking around to survey their surroundings, many players realized this city was not so new after all. While desolate and ruined, the architecture conquered by vines and greenery, this city was unmistakably Rome, but at the same time, it was not. Finding themselves in the bodies of their characters, trapped in the world of Gaia Reborn, players are left to adapt to their new reality in this fantasy world.
Gender: Female Sexual Orientation : Pansexual Apparent Age: 228 Face Claim: "Pharah, Overwatch" Played By: Black Faction: Gaian
- Appearance -
Aminatu bears the mark of the Eye of Horus upon her right eye. Her shoulders and arms are covered in tattoos dedicated to the pantheon of Heliopolis and a golden ankh drapes down her neck. Her body is curvy and has high muscular definition highlighting years of training as a tribal warrior. This includes chiseled arms, a stellar eight pack, and well-toned legs. She stands at a very domineering seven feet and 2 inches, making her a perceived beacon of might to those around her. Ivory Enochlian wings adorn her back with radiant feathery plumes. Her bronze skin tone marks her as a foreigner of Romalia and a woman from the desert sands. She has a few aesthetical wounds that display her heavily martial nature as a tribal warrioress.
- Personality -
Primary Motivator - Strength: “The constant improving of one’s self and the burdens one bears against all odds! That is true strength! That is what I will become: an unending storm that will torment any who dare misstep in Horus’s lands.”
Secondary Motivator - Balance: “Physical ability and martial knowledge must be mastered alongside other skills or else the storm will not last. Faith in oneself and a trust in one’s abilities will allow one to walk a balanced path that even the most gilded jewel could not provide.”
Emotional Disposition - Withdrawn: “People come and go as the sand does on a windy day or as two ships passing in the night. It is rare that one ship should drop anchor or that sands turn to moving stone: Why should I?”
Sense of humor - Specific: “Was it rude to laugh when that man fell off his horse? Perhaps it was even funnier when he broke his ankle.”
Usual Mood - Proud: “Nothing here is worth being emotional over, there are larger beasts to hunt, and none of them can withstand the fury of a thousand splendid suns.”
Outlook - Realist:
“This world is not a holy place, nor will it be if no one does anything. I might fight against the winds, but if I can shift one grain of sand that will be enough.”
Integrity/Morals - Tribal Warrior
“I’ve seen what monsters can do. I wear their efforts on my skin. I have lost, killed, and dragged myself through the sands to correct these horrors. I will bring peace to the Heliopolites. I will bring safety to my people.”
Impulsiveness - Patient: “I am unyielding and patient but I am not a pacifist; my mercy is not boundless and my patience can be worn away.”
Boldness - Daring: “Who dares, lives”
Flexibility - Torn Traditionalist :”Some things must never change, others are meant to be changed. Which is which is often hard to decide.”
Conformity - Uncoventional: “I am the daughter of a whore and a proud warrior: My father was the whore and my mother the rider. My upbringing was not entirely conventional in itself, but they raised me as a Heliopolite."
should be nevertheless.”
Religious Affiliation/Worship: Heliopolite Pantheon and daughter of Horus “The gods from Bast to Anhur must be honored. Their breath gives us life and they guide us through it: loyalty to them is rewarded in this life and the next.”
Expression of beliefs - Conservative: “I will not force the Gods on anyone, that is their choice. I will not allow undead, monsters, and filth from tainting Heliopolis. Those that live in the shadows are not welcomed in Horus’s blessed land!”
WEAKNESSES:
Distastes arcane magic: “The arcane is not my path...I do not understand it nor do I wholly trust it. I will not allow myself to use it nor have it used on me for trickery or experimentation. However, there are some schools that are more righteous than others. I find myself more tolerant of simple destruction and healing spells than the unholy methods of illusion and necromancy.”
Blunt: “I see no reason to lie, nor for tact. The truth is better than any polite lie.”
Fanatical hatred for the undead: “Cow’s blood today? Pigs blood tomorrow? Maybe in a week they’re back to killing us to survive: It cannot stand.”
Speaker for the Dead: “For my crimes, I have been burdened with their names. Every soul that is extinguished in war against the tribe. I wrote the names to their families. Thousands of letters, body after body. I am among the living when my time is consumed by the dead. The battles weigh on them, the war weighs on me.”
Broken Obstinacy: “In a time of great chaos I acted upon my beliefs, I slew a great demon against the wishes of the tribe. She thanked me for relieving her of her curse, but in the process I now pay for that blessing. I have been uprooted and I am unsure how to lay my roots when I gain my balance.”
Distrust of foreigners and adventurers: “Foreigners and outsiders. What was once distaste has grown into distrust. During the War of Lions in my tribe, few outside of a select and righteous group known as the Claws of the Sun and Ankh were willing to shed blood for Heliopolis. Token gifts of horses and the occasional crate of supplies might warm the heart of those within the city, but from the view of the front, it was all petty. Only those who bleed for this land and respect her customs earn my trust.”
Strengths:
Desert Warrior: “I was born in the saddle and lived among the tribes in the deserts of Heliopolis. I’ve spilled blood in tribal conflicts and chased beasts across miles of wasteland. I am one with the desert and at peace with the abilities it demands.”
Tribal Upbringing: “My mother taught me the ways of our tribe since I was a child and shamans have guided me well along the path of righteousness. The children of Anhur are born to hunt and Osiris teaches to purge the undead from any land regardless of the cost.”
Survivor of the River of Shadows:
“I have felt the fires rip the flesh from my skin and toss me halfway to the shore! I have been broken, I have been torn to shreds! I will not be broken! I will break the chains of my enemy and flay their flesh from their heretical bones!”
Slayer of demons: “I have cut down demonic hordes alongside my brothers and sisters of the sand! Together we rid the sands of the nightmarish ancient dreadlord, Naiha! My nights are haunted by what I’ve faced, but we’ve learned. We are stronger for the battles we’ve survived.”
The Lionness’s legend: “Among the tribes of Heliopolis and the warbands I’ve led, they know the truth is obscured by many. I was the lioness, while not the sole ruler of the war and of the united tribes: I was the commander of hundreds of noble warriors. We carved our path into Sun Keep with blood and steel. I have learned to command victory through this campaign. Through that victory, even if the symbol had to die in the end. I still tasted strength.”
- Biography -
Birthplace: Ankhet “My mother frequented the whore set up outside the town whenever the tribe would come to pay tribute to the town’s masters. Eventually, her escapades created me and she took my father as her own “slave”...I never really thought of it as slavery. It was just an arrangement that prevented my father from having to undergo the right of initiation. My father was many things, but I do not think he would have survived out in the desert, nor brought back proof of a successful hunt.”
The tribe: “Not as large as some, not as small as others. Families living together and doing what they can to survive and continue our traditions. Perhaps you wish to learn of them sometime? I can teach you our methods, but they are not for the weak. Strong character and personal balance are needed to survive in our ways.”
Venturing outward: “There comes a point where every warrior of Horus is presented with an option: Defend your family at home or do Horus’s will abroad. I decided on the latter, regardless of if I can change the world I can do right by my people from afar. There are old tomes and texts I see, ancient powers so holy, lost in the sand. If I can revive them, I can wield them: strength and power shall protect Heliopolis once more.”

Devoted Martyr: Through selfless sacrifice to protect their allies, the Paladin becomes empowered and able to endure damage for longer. For every 15% of their maximum health the Paladin has lost in battle, they gain a stack of Valor. Each stack of Valor gives the Paladin a minor Aggro Up and a low Healing Received Up. The Paladin cannot have more than 5 stacks and all stacks remain until the end of the fight, even if the lost health is recovered. Passive skill.
- Rank I -
Holy Weapon The Paladin imbues their weapon in divine energy for 5s, granting them Enholied. This causes basic attacks to deal physical Divine damage. Upon a successful basic attack, the Party Member within 15m with the lowest health is healed for a low amount. This includes the Paladin themselves. Instant, 15s cooldown. Average mana cost.
Cauterization A punishing attack in which the Paladin gouges at an enemy with a blazing weapon, dealing average physical Divine damage. This sears away the enemy’s strength, inflicting a strong Attack and Magic Attack Down for 15s. 1s animation time, 30s cooldown. Below-average mana cost, 1 stack of Valor.
Divine Sustenance Mark an enemy within 5 meters, inflicting an Absolution dealing average damage over 15s. Once the Absolution ends, it will be reapplied once for every stack of Valor used beyond the first. While this Absolution exists, the ally with the lowest health within 10m of the enemy receives a Regenerate that heals them per second for the damage this Absolution inflicts, effectively draining health towards them. If the ally’s health exceeds that of another ally, the Regenerate is transferred to that ally instead. This includes the Paladin themselves, but the Paladin only heals for half as much. 1s cast time, 45s cooldown. Average mana cost, 1+ stack of Valor.
Dominating Presence The mere presence of the Paladin and their sheer zealous conviction to guard their allies and slay their enemies is inspiring enough that it demands attention. Allies within 10 meters of the Paladin receive an average Aggro Down, divided equally among all allies within range. This means that two allies would get a low Aggro down, or three a minor, etc. Passive skill.
Flash of Light The Paladin raises their weapon high into the air, which then emits a blinding light, inflicting a weak 6s Blind to all enemies within 5m and generating a below-average amount of aggro from all the affected enemies. 1s animation time, 15s cooldown. Below-average mana cost.
Surmount
Shield skill. The Paladin performs a powerful downwards smash with their shield on an enemy with their weight behind it, strong enough to send them reeling. It deals low damage, while also inflicting both Stagger and Daze.
1.5s animation time, 20s cooldown. Average mana cost.
Champion’s Boon
Shield skill. A divine insignia appears on the Paladin’s shield for 5 seconds, granting them Champion's Boon. While Champion's Boon is active, the Paladin is immune to further debuffs inflicted on them as their shield glows white to absorb them into itself. For every debuff absorbed, they recover a low amount of Health.
Instant, 40s cooldown. Average mana cost.
Pious Suffering
The Paladin targets an ally within 10 meters to bear their suffering instead. They transfer any DoT effects such as Bleed, Poison, or Chill to themselves, but only receive half the damage of these DoT’s. While they have a transferred DoT on them, they benefit from a strong Aggro Up.
Instant, 20s cooldown. Low mana cost.
Smite The Paladin enhances their weapon with divine energy and delivers a powerful blow, dealing average damage and low physical Divine damage. 0.5s cast time, 15s cooldown. Average mana cost.
Champion’s Duel The Paladin challenges an enemy within 10m to a duel, granting both the enemy and the Paladin the Duel status for 10 seconds. While this status is active, both the Paladin and targeted enemy have an average damage reduction when attacking a creature other than each other with a single-target attack. This skill also generates an above-average amount of Aggro from the targeted enemy. 1s cast time, 25s cooldown. Below-average mana cost.
Accelerate A spell with instant cast time that grants the user the Accelerated status effect for 10s. While the user has this status, a single spell they select with a cast time equal to or lower than 3 seconds becomes Instant instead, after which this status is removed. Instant, 30s cooldown. Low mana cost.
Triage Can only be used out of combat. A skill that will have to make do after a particularly bad situation. Triage can be used on an ally to restore their health, up to 30% of their maximum health. This restores 1.5% maximum health every 2s of animation time, and when the target reaches 30% maximum health the skill and animation time stop. 40s animation time, 1 min cooldown. Low mana cost.
- Rank II -
Citadel Unleashing powerful divine magic, the Paladin weakens the fury of ally and enemy alike in a 10m radius around them. All allies and enemies alike suffer a strong Attack and Magic Attack Down, but receive a strong Healing Received Up, all for 10s. 2s cast time, 3 min cooldown. High mana cost.
Tempered Faith
The Paladin manifests their faith and convictions into a tempered will, granting them a below-average Defense and Magic Defense Up for 15s on top of Tempered for 15s. While Tempered, enemies that suffer from an Attack or Magic Attack Down are treated as if having their Down statuses worsened by one step while attacking the Paladin.
Instant, 1 min cooldown. Average mana cost.
“Minor becomes low, low becomes below-average, and so on.”
Protector’s Charge
Shield skill. When a teammate within 15 meters of the Paladin is attacked, the Paladin can use a stack of Valor to activate this skill instantly, charging at the enemy with a speed of 5 meters per second, and shield-bashing them for average damage upon arrival. This Topples the enemy and gives them the Taunted status for 15s. While Taunted, the enemy’s single-target attacks can only target the Paladin, regardless of Aggro, and AoE attacks must be centered around the Paladin.
1-3s animation time, 30s cooldown. Average mana cost, 1 stack of Valor.
Verdict of War With a loud battlecry, the Paladin declares the start of combat. This skill costs no Valor when cast within 20s of the Paladin entering combat. This rally cry inspires allies, granting all allies within 15m a low Healing Received and Accuracy Up, while enemies are frightened and suffer a low Attack, Magic Attack and Movement Down. All effects last for 20s. Instant, 2 min cooldown. High mana cost, 2 stacks of Valor.
Crusader’s Path The Paladin marks a location or enemy within 20 meters, marked by a white sword icon over said location or enemy. This marker persists for 30 seconds, and grants the Paladin and their Party Members a below-average Movement Up and a low Defense Up as long as they are moving towards this marker. 2s cast time, 2 min cooldown. Below-average mana cost.
Auto-da-fé A circular barrier of glowing golden light is formed in a 5m radius around the Paladin’s current location for 10s. This Barrier cannot be crossed by creatures, ally and enemy alike, however objects and attacks can still pass through it unaffected. The Paladin receives a low Defense Up while this skill is active. 3s cast time, 2.5 min cooldown. High mana cost.
Scouring Light The Paladin emits a continuous light that burns enemies within 5 meters, dealing average magical Divine damage over 10 seconds. If enemies are above 33% health, this Skill generates twice as much Aggro. If enemies are below 33% health, the light intensifies on them causing above-average damage instead. 1s cast time, 1 min cooldown. Average mana cost.
Raging Edge The user instantly swings at the enemy with incredible speed, their weapon becoming intangible and passing through the enemy. This attack deals average damage. 1 second after the swing, a green afterimage repeats the weapon’s swing, dealing low damage and applying any effects of the weapon. 0.5s animaton time, 15s cooldown. Average mana cost.
Howitzer Stance A skill primarily used by Mages, although there are Weapon Specialists and Tanks that have found a way to utilize this skill too. When toggled on or off, this skill is put on a 10s cooldown before it can be toggled off or on again. While active, the user gains the Howitzer buff that prevents them from moving, but boosts Attack and Magic Attack by an above-average amount. The user is immune to pushes, pulls or knockbacks from allies, but an enemy inflicting a CC Status effect(such as Stun, Topple, Confusion) or a knockback will forcibly cancel the stance. Toggle, 10s cooldown. Low mana drain.
Rend Strength The user slams their opponent's arms with the hilt of their weapon, letting loose a bright red flash of light. While it deals only minor damage, this attack also inflicts a minor Attack Down debuff for 30s. 1s animation time, 90s cooldown. Low mana cost.
Rend Intelligence The user slams their enemy’s head with the hilt of their weapon, letting loose a bright blue flash of light. While it deals only minor damage, this attack also inflicts a minor Magic Attack Down debuff for 30s. 1s animation time, 90s cooldown. Low mana cost.
- Rank III -
Hallowed Ground: The Paladin marks a 5m radius around their current position, which becomes Hallowed ground for 15s. All enemies standing on Hallowed ground take strong Divine damage over 15s, and all allies except Tanks receive an average Aggro Down while standing on Hallowed ground. Paladins and Vanguards instead receive a below-average Defense Up, while Monks and Pirates receive a below-average Evasion Up. 3s cast time, 3 min cooldown. High mana cost.
Undying Faith Should the Paladin die with 5 stacks of Valor, their sheer determination and will prevents them from dying. Instead, they consume their stacks and are resurrected to 30% of their maximum Health as divine flames blaze up from their feet in the shape of a phoenix. This will also remove all Statuses present on them; whether buffs, debuffs, unique or not. Passive, 20 min cooldown. 5 stacks of Valor.
Bulwark The Paladin consumes 3 or more stacks of Valor to gain the Bulwark status for 3 seconds, causing them to glow with a golden light. Once Bulwark ends, it will be reapplied once for every stack of Valor used beyond the first. While Bulwark is active, the Paladin gains a strong Defense Up and all damage that would bring allies within 5 meters below 10% of their maximum Health is instead dealt to the Paladin. 2s cast time, 2 min cooldown. Very high mana cost, 3+ stacks of Valor.
- Racial & Talents -
-Racial ability-
Icarian Blessing: While the Enoch are a winged race, bearing impressive angelic wings on their backs, it is a part of the body that the Adventurers are not used to possessing, and while the Enochlian Gaians have mastered their feathered appendages, the Adventurers have merely learned to control them on a basic level so as to prevent their wings from knocking things over. Enochlians are able to open and close their wings at will, but they are incapable of flight, only allowing for gliding; as such, Enochlians take an intense reduction in fall damage and can glide for limited distances.
-Blacksmith Talents-
Level 1 Acclimated Body From spending countless hours slaving over a roaring furnace and hot coals, the Blacksmith has come to be used to the hottest of temperatures, conferring a minor resistance to the Fire element. Passive skill.
Level 11 Smithing Adept The Blacksmith’s strikes mold the metal, drawing out impurities with greater ease than before. When they roll on the Mineral table in a gathering thread, they are granted a +5 bonus to their roll. This bonus can’t cause the roll to exceed 85. This bonus increases to +7 at 31, and +9 at 51. Passive skill.
Level 21 Sturdy Crafts With their tools, weapons and armor being some of the ones that see the most heavy use, the Blacksmith knows that they must be built to last. If all the materials they use are of at least item level 2, it is granted +2 to item level. Passive skill.
Level 31 Resonate Wielding a metal weapon, the Blacksmith can utilize it to deliver a powerful resonating blow by striking it to their or a party member’s metal weapon or equipment. This releases a soundwave in a 4m radius that Dazes all enemies. 1.5s animation time, 1m cooldown. No mana cost.
Level 41 Heavyweight The Blacksmith has learned to carry and handle all types of armors, and have gained a proficiency for using Heavy Armor and how it works. Blacksmiths with the “Heavyweight” skill are granted +2 proficiency in Heavy Armor. While Heavy Armor is equipped, any attacks that would penetrate a portion of the Blacksmith’s Defense have their penetration power reduced to only half of said amount (a skill that would penetrate half of the Blacksmith’s Defense would only penetrate 1/4th, for example). Passive skill.
-Cavalier Talents-
Level 1 Basic Equestrian The Cavalier obtains a Horse Whistle from the beginning in order to summon their very own steed. They can choose the appearance of their steed when it is first summoned. While still new, this steed will carry their master and luggage and give them affectionate nuzzles, but will flee and desummon itself when attacked or if their master enters combat. 30m cooldown if unsummoned.
Level 11 Horseback Combat The Cavalier’s steed finally learns to overcome its fears. The steed has health equal to 30% of their master’s maximum health and will no longer desummon when in combat, however it will desummon after its health drops to 0. The steed’s maximum HP increases to 50% of their master’s maximum health at Cavalier level 31, and 75% at level 51. The rider gains a strong boost to mobility whilst mounted. Passive skill.

History & Description:
“Sayyida, accept this letter and the enclosed tool with my deepest regrets for the late hour of it’s arrival. There were complications following the excavation over rightful ownership with the farmer who tended the field in which it was found. But with a silver tongue and the grace of Nephthys, an agreement was reached.
Laid out before you is an artifact of the old world. There is golden filigree woven into the shaft indicative of a time of opulence, in which no expense was spared for the mighty weapon of a warrior. The wood of the handle is ancient ebony cured in mastic resin, and was retreated under the care of my very own hands. The base now retains the strength and beauty of it’s youth, as though the centuries have been peeled back.
The blade is an enchanting silvery hue, and given resilience of it’s edge against all of our testing, I am confident to say it is forged of Mithral. The very metal itself resonates with raw power even now, most certainly imbued with arcane qualities you can hear sing you into the stillness of the night. It has been cleaned of the blood of long dead enemies and polished into shining perfection, an instrument of the Gods. To this end you will see Heliopolite hieroglyphs finely etched into the lower half of the blade. The words translate to: To my beloved warrior of the sun. I bestow an arm worthy of Horus. Wield as much with love as you do with might, this Arm of Heliopolis.
I sent my finest scholars to collect any scrolls pertaining to such a weapon, and he was able to find records dating back to Setite wars, and a decorated Heliopolite warrior known as Kutum Sekket. From what we know, he was a prominent figure in the most widespread tribe of the day, Sifeku. If you know your histories, you will know this tribe that fought so fiercely in defense of land and Gods, they were nearly driven to annihilation by the war’s end.
Kutum Sekket, as champion of Sifeku and Horus, wielded this very blade into the final battle of his tribe upon the banks of the River Ankh. It is with deepest regret that I relay to you, sayyida, that the mighty warrior passed from this world on those very banks. His life was a life given into devotion to his people and his God, a loyalty to family, a strength of spirit that crushed all enemies in his wake...save for his very last. But from his death came the rallying cry of a nation. A unity among the tribes, so that when Sifeku faded from memory, blending into the peoples of our great desert, their spirit burned hot enough to consume our enemies.
Handle the blade with care. Take this as a sobering lesson. You hold in your hands the tool of a great man. But know that not even an arm blessed by the Gods is impervious to consequence.”

Name: Tin Ore Rarity: 1 Amount: 27 Item type: Ore Source: Ciminian Forest: Mineral Description: A muddy to gray-ish ore that doesn’t look very distinct. It is commonly used for small crafts like dinner plates or miniature puppets, and very small amounts of it are combined with copper to make bronze.
Name: Copper Ore Rarity: 2 Amount: 19 Item type: Ore Source: Ciminian Forest: Mineral; Tiber Coastline: Mineral Description: A blue-orange ore that is well known to most people. It is known as “Mankind’s first metal”, and has many uses: decorative crafts, corrosive-resistant, easily malleable and can be combined with tin to make the famous bronze.
Name: Iron Ore Cluster Rarity: 3 Amount: 21 Item type: Ore Source: Ciminian Forest: Mineral; Tiber coastline: Mineral Description: A giant chunk of Iron Ore the size of a small child, worth three pieces of normal Iron Ore when smolten down.
Name: Fossil Scale Rarity: 4 Amount: 5 Item type: Scale Source: Ciminian Forest: Mineral; Tiber coastline: Mineral Description: A technical “Scale” item, this is a near-fossilised scale from what appears to be a dragon. It has a distinct luster to it and is incredibly tough, yet flexible, and the size of a small dog. It shrugs off the elements just as easy as it shrugs off physical damage.
Name: Mithril Ore Rarity: 5 Amount: 6 Item type: Ore Source: Ciminian Forest: Mineral Description: A pale blue, almost silver ore. It is well known and used in many games, and Gaia Reborn is no exception. Refining it is incredibly difficult because of how much heat it requires to purify the ore, and if not cooled properly afterwards, it will shatter. Ingots made of mithril are lightweight and incredibly durable, with a pale blue moonlight-like shine.
“I wonder if you came in need of Isis’s peace or have come to wield Anhur’s rage? The winds of the dunes tells me that you desire one or the other. There is no place in-between.”
Welcome to the help dialog for the Custom Mini-Profile Creator plugin!
Click on any of the tabs above to go through the plugin configuration process!
You can access this menu at any time by clicking on the icon in the bottom right bar (may not be applicable if you're on Forums.net), or you can disable the welcome window and/or the icon by going to Plugins > Manage > Custom Mini-Profile Creator and changing the Show Help option.
This step is essential as it gives the plugin everything it needs on the page to get as much profile information as possible.
To make the profile variables work you'll need to add a new line to the very end of Themes > Layout Templates > Mini-Profile and paste the code below on it. The code should be placed completely outside of the mini-profile, so if you're using the default mini-profile template this will be after the very last closing </div> tag. This needs to be done on every theme you have the plugin enabled on as the template is theme-specific.
If your mini-profile template is already customized and you've hit the variable limit for your template you're free to remove any lines from the code below if they contain information that you don't plan on using. For example, if you have no plans to ever add a user's IP to their mini-profile for staff reference you can remove <div class="mp-info ip">$[user.ip]</div> from the code and everything else will still work just fine.
Once you've added the HTML from the Layout Templates tab you're ready to move on to building your mini-profiles. If you want to get going and try some out now or you're not very adept at HTML, CSS, or Javascript, worry not! This plugin includes some examples for you to try out. You're free to skip to the Custom Profile Fields tab and read over this tab later when you're ready to build your own.
Here's a quick rundown of each of the components in Plugins > Manage > Custom Mini-Profile Creator:
Name This is the name you'll be adding to your custom profile field dropdown once you've finished coding the mini-profile. Pretty self-explanatory. Make sure this name is unique from every other name you use for your mini-profiles or you'll end up overwriting the earlier ones in the list.
HTML This is the HTML that will go inside your mini-profile. You can use just about any HTML tag here so long as it's appropriate for where the mini-profile is showing on the page. Please refrain from using <style> or <script> tags here. You have the next two sections for that! Also, remember that mini-profiles can show multiple times on the same page, so you shouldn't add ID attributes to any of your elements here. Two elements on the same page cannot have the same ID per HTML standards.
CSS This is where you'll place what would normally go in your forum's style sheet or what would normally be between <style> tags. Try to code your mini-profile's HTML in a way that will allow you to target it specifically with your selectors. For example, you can surround all of the content in your HTML with a <div> element with a class and target that class and its child elements specifically with your CSS. That way you don't accidentally target every mini-profile on the page with CSS that was meant for the one you're building. One more thing: The forum theme's CSS still applies beforehand, so your mini-profile may look right in one theme but not in another. The best way to circumvent this is to define as many styles as you can to override the theme's CSS.
Javascript Anything that normally goes between <script> tags will go here. This one's a bit tricky since you'll obviously want to target the custom mini-profile specifically. Luckily there's an easy way to do that. In your statements you can use the $(this) variable to target the mini-profile if you're coding using jQuery. Otherwise, if you only plan on using standard Javascript you can target $(this)[0] instead.
Once you've finished building your mini-profiles it's finally time to add them to the Edit Profile page for use! To enable selection of custom mini-profiles you'll first need to add two specific custom profile fields in Members > Custom Profile Fields in your forum's admin area:
Mini-Profile Theme
Staff Mini-Profile Theme
Mini-Profile Theme is for mini-profiles that are designed for member use. You can set the Who Can Edit option for this field to Staff With Power if you only want staff to be able to choose mini-profiles for users. Otherwise, if you want members to freely be able to choose their own mini-profiles you can choose Members and Staff With Power.
Staff Mini-Profile Theme is for mini-profiles designed specifically for staff use. This field is completely optional.
Set the type for both of these fields as Drop Down Selection. Click on the (View/Edit) link to add mini-profile names to each of these fields.
If you've just installed this plugin you should have three different mini-profiles already installed by default: Example 1, Example 2, and Example 3. You can add these to your dropdowns to test them out and see the plugin in action.
If you're having trouble getting this plugin to work despite following the instructions in the previous tabs you may want to check that each of your themes meets the prerequisites below in Themes > Layout Templates > Mini-Profile.
First, ensure that opening tag of your mini-profile template includes the $[miniprofile_class] variable in its class. On the default ProBoards theme it should look something like this:
<div class="$[miniprofile_class]">
Next, make sure that the default {foreach} loop for custom fields is present inside your mini-profile. It doesn't need to be visible, so you're free to add it inside a hidden element if you don't plan on displaying it or if it would mess up the appearance of your own custom template.
Beyond that you can do whatever you like to the mini-profile template for the most part and it shouldn't negatively impact the plugin.
The following is a list of available variables for use in the HTML section of the mini-profile creator and their definitions. Adding any of these to a mini-profile will generate the content described in its definition in place of the variable so long as the information that variable outputs is visible to you.
To reference your forum's custom profile fields you can use $[user.customfieldname], substituting "customfieldname" with your custom field's name. You'll need to type the name in all lowercase with no spaces and only use characters A-Z and 0-9.
For example, Mini-Profile Theme becomes $[user.miniprofiletheme]. This will output the value of the custom field. In the case of this example, it'll be the name of the mini-profile theme you've chosen in your profile.
IMPORTANT NOTE: These will only work if you followed the steps in the Installation tab of this window on each of your themes. Any themes that do not include the template code specified there will not have these variables replaced in the mini-profile.

You can utilize the $(this) variable in the Javascript component to target the mini-profile <div> element. For example, if you wanted to add a class to the mini-profile you can use:
$(this).addClass('class-name-here');
Profile variables can also be used in the Javascript component in this plugin. In Javascript the value undefined is used to signify that a value doesn't exist for the variable you've specified. With this in mind you can use profile variables in Javascript conditional statements within the plugin similar to how they're used in the actual layout templates section of the admin area.
if(variable) will only run if the variable you specify has a value.
if(!variable) will only run if the variable you specify has no value.
Example 1 (variable has value):
if(user.group){
$(this).find('.group').show();
}
If the user has their group displayed in their profile the above Javascript would make the HTML below visible if you had it hidden with CSS.
