Gaia Reborn
Gaia Reborn, the hottest MMORPG of the last decade, has seen millions of players experience its unique world - a combination of fantasy and reality. When Gaia Reborn was a game, one goal was to make the game world a one-half scale model of the real world. This pursuit was known as the Half-Gaia Project, and it is one of the aspects which led to Gaia Reborn becoming such a popular virtual world. With regional servers having unique areas, quests, cities, and monsters, it wasn't uncommon for people to create alternate characters on other servers to experience what felt like an entirely new game.
Ten years after the game's launch, millions of players have joined and created countless characters across the many servers. Now, with the release of the latest expansion, Pioneers of Arcadia, many are getting ready to begin new adventures in the new Italian server, exploring the new region corresponding to Italy, known in Gaia as Italia. Characters would have to start from fresh in this new world, but Italy would finally get its own piece of this world.
Countless players created their characters, logged in with excitement fueling their hands as the cursor swept across the screen, and then... darkness... Everything was black, and as their eyes opened, the players found themselves in the streets of an unfamiliar city. Looking around to survey their surroundings, many players realized this city was not so new after all. While desolate and ruined, the architecture conquered by vines and greenery, this city was unmistakably Rome, but at the same time, it was not. Finding themselves in the bodies of their characters, trapped in the world of Gaia Reborn, players are left to adapt to their new reality in this fantasy world.
Avelia didn't seem to realize that SidO's voice was directed at her for a second, having been invested in her position as a confused, lost Enoch in a world where everyone seemed to know what they were doing. But she did rear her head when she took his question into account—something exactly describing her predicament— along with the fact that there nobody nearby to provide a response.
"Huh? 'Sup dude, uhhh..." Avelia paused, clicking her tongue and double-checking behind herself just in case, before proceeding as she usually would. The guy in front of her had a sharpened face and eyes, wearing the basic shirt that the game provided for the players. Aaron couldn't really tell if the guy was a lander or an adventurer... was there even a way to distinguish between the two types of characters unless they had unrealistic spiky neon green hair or some kind of fucked-up face customization?
"Yeah, man. I was looking for some fabrics to get some o' that Tailor EXP." Avelia started to explain (quite crudely, without the finesse an Enoch usually has) as she pulled up a menu for reference, pointing them out on the screen as she spoke. "I just need like, what, five silver fleece? But lemme tell ya, man. The person who sells that shit? IMPOSSIBLE to find, I swear to—"
"YO! THE FUuu...?!" Avelia blurted out, raising her hands and backing off a bit as some pink-haired Faunri lunged in from Bum-Fuck Nowhere to intercept the conversation with a back-breaking tackle hug. Damn, that poor guy's spine though...

"Well I believe it'll help you learn how to socialize better if you used something you're familiar with, games, as a basis for your interactions." Steel said in response to Sido before he walked off to try his luck against the level 2 obstacle. Steel decided to hang back watch just like before.
The fact an Enoch wasn't looking at Sido, an Antas, with revulsion solidified the fact that Sido was talking to an Adventurer. Made all the more so when 'she' talked of exp. It was then Steel noticed off to the side one of his friends/acquaintances coming their way. Olivia, the druid waved at him briefly. He returned said wave but it was clear who her real target of affections was.
"I suppose if one's around the other will soon follow...." Steel muttered to himself as he watched things unfold. The Enoch was starting on a bit of a tirade about stuff being impossible to find before being interrupted by Sido being tackle attacked by a wild Olivia. It was super effective! Olivia had infinite PP for that move.
"You alive there Sido?" Steel said having decided to screw it and walk in on the scene. Well at least he started the conversation before he got tackle hugged. That was progress.
SidO suddenly felt a strong force being exerted on his front, just as he was about to reply to aVelia. Oh. Not again!-
He fell, went ass backward, and crashed into the ground. He groaned in pain. .. Only one thing can damage my spine like that. Its Olivia... I should've booked it when I had the chance.
He lifted his face from the ground to look up at aVelia. "Uh. Sorry.."
He saw Steel walking towards the scene and pointed towards him. "My friend over there can probably help you with what you're looking for. Ah!. Christ." He said something to the approaching Steel. "I''m dead man."
Olivia Hugged Sid0 tight for a few seconds before getting up '' Sid0 Sorry for the random tackle hug I was so Exited to see you! OH! and sorry for interupting your Convo with this girl! ''. Olivia then patted the dirt of Sid0's back from her tackling him''I'll Just get this mess of your back , sorry again for Hug tackling you!!''. Olivia also noticed Steel was here to ''Hiya Steel! How are you? Sorry for the Random wave i Noticed you sorta Spectating Sid0?
Olivia looked at the girl Next for a second and grabbed a cookie out of her pouch ''Hello nice too meet you Im Olivia Im a Druid! So sorry for Interupting Your Conversation, Would you like a cookie?''Olivia was smiling while she grabbed a cookie out of her Pouch.

"Uhhhh...." Avelia hesitated, her eyes shifting from left to right, eyeing to check if she should be on her toes provided more royal guards might come crashing through a nearby wall. But when that didn't happen, she moved her gaze to make eye contact with SidO, then to Steel, to verify if this was the norm for their Faunri friend judging by the look on their faces, then turned back to Olivia and her cookie offer.
Well, shoot, Aaron wasn't one to turn down a free treat! Avelia nabbed the cookie with one hand and shook Olivia's hand with the other, chomping into it with a satisfying crunch and praying it wasn't actually oatmeal raisin.
"The name's--" Avelia started with a half-full mouth before interrupting herself, trying to familiarize herself with the group she was with before proceeding. "Wait, hol' up." She rubbed her temples to try and do the mental gymnastics required to traverse the social hellscape Gaia constructed for her.
"Okay, so, nobody would randomly capitalize a letter at the end of their child's name unless their parents hated them.... So this Sid-oh dude's gotta be a player.... And if they go by usernames... then...."
"AVELIA!" She exclaimed, arms pumped victoriously to her side as she ran off the high of another intricate, successful closed case. Speed lines poked in from the edges of the screen combined with some sweet cinematic zoom, as she accidentally spit out some crumbs in the process.
"Yeah. So y'all are?" Avelia moved on, wiping crumbs from her mouth as she nodded towards Steel and SidO, despite the fact that Aaron could see all of their names on the display above their head. Another unnecessarily formality carried over from the real world.

This was a mess. Sido was dying from being smothered by oppai and his assaulter Olivia started spouting off words like a machine gun. All the while the one known as Aveila seemed to be gobsmacked at what was going on. Steel was resisting the urge to facepalm at how quickly the situation fell apart. "Hey Olivia... we're just leveling up Sido's social skills..." Or rather they were.
"And apologies for all the ruckus we're causing here. Must be shocking to see so much happen at once eh? Don't worry, this is normal." He said to the Ranger with an apologetic smile. One would think Sido would get used to her hugs by now and be at least semi prepared.
Aveila then all of a sudden shouted out her name as if 'she' were saying 'Eureka!' and then asked for their names. "The name's Steel, I'm a Vanguard. The one dying on the floor there is Sido, an Enchanter. Was there a reason you just shouted your name right in our ears? We're right in front of you."
He observed aVelia's interactions with the present company, and Steel's subsequent introductions. Taking a cookie from a serial spine breaker? Very interesting aVelia. Very interesting..
He got up, dusting himself off while doing so. He turned to Olivia, having heard her apology, and gave her an understanding look. "Yea.. It's fine."
He looked at Steel with a tired expression, and chimed in. "She probably had a lightbulb moment man. You know when the internal monolouge isn't enough and you have to yell things out. Also.. Do you know any stores where we can find Fleece? aVelia needs em for crafting."
''I hope you Enjoyed the Cookie Avelia!'' Suddenly She Shouted her name out She then asked who Steel and sid0 were, Olivia Opend up her player Interface and sent Avelia a friend request ''Lets be friends! Well Only if u Want Too Ofcourse..'' Olivia Hoped she would say yes as she needed More friends as her friends list was very Lacking. Then Olivia Worryingly turned to Steel ''Ah Sorry for interupting Steel! Atleast I hope it was going well for him...'' Olivia thought about what she just Said and Remembered Sid0 was terrible at talking to Anyone '' Let me re-phrase that...I hope he was making progress with talking to new People'' She giggled a little and then smiled at Sid0.
Olivia then turned to Avelia ''I guess your looking for Silver Somthing? I Overheard briefly while i was jumping on Sid0, I wouldn't mind helping you find someone whos selling it around here, But i guess its pretty Impossible Like you said''

When the focus shifted back to Avelia, she'd visibly frozen up, her eyes fixated not towards Olivia in front of her, but through Olivia. The cookie so thoughtfully crafted, it had brought her to the next terrestrial plane of existence. We zoom in on her face as the voices around her and the city backdrop fades out into a chocolate oblivion, ripples of cocoa dribbling down from the sky at a rapid pace and overflowing, drowning them all.
"Damn." Avelia muttered and smacked her lips as everything returned to normal in a blink, finally returning eye contact to the rest of them. "That's uh... some good shit right there. Props. Anyway." She quickly moved on, multitasking while flipping open her social menu to accept Olivia's request, and send two more to Steel and SidO, because Aaron needed to build up his social circle, anyway.
"Hey man, I'm a content creator. Can't nab all that revenue without being loud n' obnoxious every now and then, y'know what I'm saying?" The Enoch explained to Steel, trying to veer the attention away from SidO's perfect social analysis. "Besides," She continued, turning to SidO next after overhearing that he was trying to practice talking to people. "If you got social issues, hit me up!" She jabbed a finger to herself and shot a wink at him. "...I--" Aaron paused for a moment, thinking about touting the fact that he used to talk and play games several hours a day as a streamer. Though, he thought twice about it, as touting that portion of his backstory might get someone to recognize him. And oh, the embarrassment that followed.
"I'm... pretty good at talking." She backed off, with less of the same confidence that she'd had before, but quickly bounced back when turning to back to Olivia. "Yeah dude, I'd appreciate that. I'm pretty shit at finding things."

'She quickly moved on, multitasking while flipping open her social menu to accept Olivia's request, and send two more to Steel and SidO, because Aaron needed to build up his social circle, anyway.' - Me as I accept Olli's friend request on the forum
What the heck.... Steel couldn't help but think in his head when he saw Aveila's reaction to a simple cookie. Was that a slight moan he heard!?! What did Olivia put in those cookies!?! This ain't Shokugeki no Souma! He mentally retorted. Of course, none of this showed on his face which remained amicable as usual.
"He's slowly but surely making progress. He at least went up to a girl and actually tried to flirt with her today so that's something." Steel replied to Olivia before leaning over to briefly whisper in her ear. "Though the results didn't exactly go swimmingly well for him and he kinda just gave up afterwards so I'd appreciate it if you gave him some warm gentle comforting later. Maybe give him a kiss on the cheek or something." He whispered out that last part with a teasing tone. Steel knew it wouldn't work with him since he was a reminder of succeeding at what Sido failed at and that wouldn't make him feel any better.
Aveila then sent Steel a friend request as she was talking about being a content creator but in the middle of it, a shy feminine voice caught his attention. "Um, excuse me, can I have your autograph? I'm a huge fan!" A female adventurer by the name of Glass had walked up to Steel, having recognized him as Yuuto Hayashi, and held up a piece of paper for him to sign.
"Of course. Anything for a fan. Should I address this to your in game name or should I just write down a charming young lady?" Steel replied with a gentle yet cool grin, unknowingly doing the exact opposite of what Aveila said to be popular. Instead of loud and obnoxious, Steel was being gentle and humble as he autographed the paper for the girl using her real name as the recipient. After waving her off with a small smile he turned back to Aveila. "Apologies for the interruption. What were you saying about being a content creator?" He asked apologetically as he accepted the friend request.
"You required Silver Fleece correct? I do know a tailor that has some. I had to go there myself for some business a while back. Would you like me to draw you a map?" Basic map making for directions was known by most Japanese and Steel despite mostly being a shut in also had that skill.
SidO watched Olivia's interaction with Steel intently, in a somewhat annoyed and tired mood. Making progress huh? With interactions that devolve into chaotic scuffles like this.. I think the only progress being made here is backward..
Her breif exchange with Steel made him slightly more annoyed. Progress my ass man.. Can't even chalk up trying as something good since it means jack squat. God..
He noticed a status pop up showing a friend request from aVelia, which he found interesting. A friend request now? She jumped on the chance pretty fast. He accepted the friend request.
He then listened to aVelia's subsequent description of herself, as various reactions ran through his mind. Obnoxious content creator and social health counsellor. Yea.. What was up with that pause.. She's good with talking. Good to know..
He was surprised to see Steel signing an autograph for an apparent fan. Wow. He's got the ladies gushing all over him even now. Amazing. I'm still surprised he hasn't tried to bed a single one of them.
Steel's mention of Japanese people having basic knowledgeon how to draw maps caused him to be a bit taken back though. What? you can draw maps Steel? Scribe's not one your crafting skill. Did you take courses in cartography in real life or something?
With all that information freshly ingrained in his mind, SidO passed one glance at the group around him and began walking away from Steel, his fan, Olivia, and aVelia Well.. Think I'll call it a day for now. Steel and Olivia could probably show aVelia the way to fleece..
After Steel whispered in Olivias ear she Started to blush and She thought in her head of ways to give sid0 some love and support But Steels idea Seemed...Really good to her!, She felt like Sid0 would feel awkard about it after But She didn't care and She was going to plan a way to support Sid0!,Then she blushed a little but then nodded to Steel ''OK ill try my best!'' She Randomly shouted this outloud after Steel Whispered it....Olivia then facepalmed and looked down to the floor blushing ''S-S-SSorrrry for shouting everyone..'' She was very Embarrassed After Shouting.
Olivia then asked Steel about a place that Sells Silver Fleece ''I wish i knew a place That sells Silver Fleec to help but I Don't really know any places like that, So i heard you know were one is Steel?'' She then Saw Sid0 glance thier way and he started walking the opptiste direction without saying a Word, She was smiling but her face turned Seroius after Sid0 started walking away without saying a word.
''OI WHERE U GOING MR'' Olivia Charged toward Sid0 like a bullet train and grabbed his hand before he started walking further ''Where you going? Not even saying goodbye?!'' Olivia looked a Sid0 with a Serious face.

The man whose hand was grabbed would turn around slowly, pushing his glasses as he looked down at her. He was distinctly not SidO.
"Um... pardon me. I am very clearly not the whom you seek, and I would greatly appreciate it if you did not make contact with this hand. My name is SidQ, a godsent writer whose right hand has been touched by the angels above. I am destined for literary greatness, and I have only touched down onto this realm for inspiration. By the time I return to my humble abode, I would prefer if the state of my fingers remained relatively untouched. You see-" SidQ would continue to trail on and on about his entire bibliography of inspiration and his huge arsenal of pens and writing styles, after which aVelia would hold Olivia by the shoulders and politely steer her out of the awkward encounter back towards Steel.
"Shiii... he dipped on us? Damn, that's kinda fucked up. Even I wouldn't do that. Not even for like, six months or so. Prolly got like, claustrophobic from all the people around or somethin'." The enoch squinted as they walked, trying to figure out something a little more comforting to say.
"Uhhh... don't worry! Sure you got 'em on your friends list, right? Pretty sure you guys've met beforehand."

Welcome to the help dialog for the Custom Mini-Profile Creator plugin!
Click on any of the tabs above to go through the plugin configuration process!
You can access this menu at any time by clicking on the icon in the bottom right bar (may not be applicable if you're on Forums.net), or you can disable the welcome window and/or the icon by going to Plugins > Manage > Custom Mini-Profile Creator and changing the Show Help option.
This step is essential as it gives the plugin everything it needs on the page to get as much profile information as possible.
To make the profile variables work you'll need to add a new line to the very end of Themes > Layout Templates > Mini-Profile and paste the code below on it. The code should be placed completely outside of the mini-profile, so if you're using the default mini-profile template this will be after the very last closing </div> tag. This needs to be done on every theme you have the plugin enabled on as the template is theme-specific.
If your mini-profile template is already customized and you've hit the variable limit for your template you're free to remove any lines from the code below if they contain information that you don't plan on using. For example, if you have no plans to ever add a user's IP to their mini-profile for staff reference you can remove <div class="mp-info ip">$[user.ip]</div> from the code and everything else will still work just fine.
Once you've added the HTML from the Layout Templates tab you're ready to move on to building your mini-profiles. If you want to get going and try some out now or you're not very adept at HTML, CSS, or Javascript, worry not! This plugin includes some examples for you to try out. You're free to skip to the Custom Profile Fields tab and read over this tab later when you're ready to build your own.
Here's a quick rundown of each of the components in Plugins > Manage > Custom Mini-Profile Creator:
Name This is the name you'll be adding to your custom profile field dropdown once you've finished coding the mini-profile. Pretty self-explanatory. Make sure this name is unique from every other name you use for your mini-profiles or you'll end up overwriting the earlier ones in the list.
HTML This is the HTML that will go inside your mini-profile. You can use just about any HTML tag here so long as it's appropriate for where the mini-profile is showing on the page. Please refrain from using <style> or <script> tags here. You have the next two sections for that! Also, remember that mini-profiles can show multiple times on the same page, so you shouldn't add ID attributes to any of your elements here. Two elements on the same page cannot have the same ID per HTML standards.
CSS This is where you'll place what would normally go in your forum's style sheet or what would normally be between <style> tags. Try to code your mini-profile's HTML in a way that will allow you to target it specifically with your selectors. For example, you can surround all of the content in your HTML with a <div> element with a class and target that class and its child elements specifically with your CSS. That way you don't accidentally target every mini-profile on the page with CSS that was meant for the one you're building. One more thing: The forum theme's CSS still applies beforehand, so your mini-profile may look right in one theme but not in another. The best way to circumvent this is to define as many styles as you can to override the theme's CSS.
Javascript Anything that normally goes between <script> tags will go here. This one's a bit tricky since you'll obviously want to target the custom mini-profile specifically. Luckily there's an easy way to do that. In your statements you can use the $(this) variable to target the mini-profile if you're coding using jQuery. Otherwise, if you only plan on using standard Javascript you can target $(this)[0] instead.
Once you've finished building your mini-profiles it's finally time to add them to the Edit Profile page for use! To enable selection of custom mini-profiles you'll first need to add two specific custom profile fields in Members > Custom Profile Fields in your forum's admin area:
Mini-Profile Theme
Staff Mini-Profile Theme
Mini-Profile Theme is for mini-profiles that are designed for member use. You can set the Who Can Edit option for this field to Staff With Power if you only want staff to be able to choose mini-profiles for users. Otherwise, if you want members to freely be able to choose their own mini-profiles you can choose Members and Staff With Power.
Staff Mini-Profile Theme is for mini-profiles designed specifically for staff use. This field is completely optional.
Set the type for both of these fields as Drop Down Selection. Click on the (View/Edit) link to add mini-profile names to each of these fields.
If you've just installed this plugin you should have three different mini-profiles already installed by default: Example 1, Example 2, and Example 3. You can add these to your dropdowns to test them out and see the plugin in action.
If you're having trouble getting this plugin to work despite following the instructions in the previous tabs you may want to check that each of your themes meets the prerequisites below in Themes > Layout Templates > Mini-Profile.
First, ensure that opening tag of your mini-profile template includes the $[miniprofile_class] variable in its class. On the default ProBoards theme it should look something like this:
<div class="$[miniprofile_class]">
Next, make sure that the default {foreach} loop for custom fields is present inside your mini-profile. It doesn't need to be visible, so you're free to add it inside a hidden element if you don't plan on displaying it or if it would mess up the appearance of your own custom template.
Beyond that you can do whatever you like to the mini-profile template for the most part and it shouldn't negatively impact the plugin.
The following is a list of available variables for use in the HTML section of the mini-profile creator and their definitions. Adding any of these to a mini-profile will generate the content described in its definition in place of the variable so long as the information that variable outputs is visible to you.
To reference your forum's custom profile fields you can use $[user.customfieldname], substituting "customfieldname" with your custom field's name. You'll need to type the name in all lowercase with no spaces and only use characters A-Z and 0-9.
For example, Mini-Profile Theme becomes $[user.miniprofiletheme]. This will output the value of the custom field. In the case of this example, it'll be the name of the mini-profile theme you've chosen in your profile.
IMPORTANT NOTE: These will only work if you followed the steps in the Installation tab of this window on each of your themes. Any themes that do not include the template code specified there will not have these variables replaced in the mini-profile.

You can utilize the $(this) variable in the Javascript component to target the mini-profile <div> element. For example, if you wanted to add a class to the mini-profile you can use:
$(this).addClass('class-name-here');
Profile variables can also be used in the Javascript component in this plugin. In Javascript the value undefined is used to signify that a value doesn't exist for the variable you've specified. With this in mind you can use profile variables in Javascript conditional statements within the plugin similar to how they're used in the actual layout templates section of the admin area.
if(variable) will only run if the variable you specify has a value.
if(!variable) will only run if the variable you specify has no value.
Example 1 (variable has value):
if(user.group){
$(this).find('.group').show();
}
If the user has their group displayed in their profile the above Javascript would make the HTML below visible if you had it hidden with CSS.
