- Appearance -Ciél reaches, what most people would consider an average stature, of around 187cm. If going from top to bottom, his hair is messy, and the color of a soft flame. His clear blue eyes are gentle, yet filled with energy and excitement. At almost any time, he carries a simple smile. He has an earring in his left ear; a small black bead.
He’s rather slim, and his chiseled body brims with vitality. One can clearly see how he took care of it from a very young age. No scars or imperfections would be found even if every inch of his body was checked.
His wings carry the same color as his hair and stretch to a wingspan of approximately 240cm across.
- Personality -Ciél is an energetic boy who’s incredibly social, especially around people around his age. He values honesty greatly and expects others to be truthful towards him, as he is truthful towards them. He is very observing towards people, and constantly takes notice of body language, such as posture, facial expressions, ticks, pitch and volume, their line of sight, and sentence structuring, which allows him to acquire an idea of what people are like, even before he meets them.
He uses his transparent and energetic, almost gleaming behavior to lighten dull moods, and keep morale high. As his jubilant behavior is his strength, it can also be his weakness, as he can get careless whenever not needing to be serious. He’s very gullible with people he’s close to; one could almost call him a goody-two-shoes goofball.
However, when in combat, his goofy behavior vaporizes and it’s as if his personality makes a complete 180. He turns calm and collected, able to analyze and adapt throughout various scenarios. He has great spatial awareness and is able to keep track of his teammates- and enemies’ whereabouts. He’s crafty and comes up with unorthodox ways to use terrain, skills, weapons, or even items to his advantage.
- History -Ciél was born into golden robes of leadership, in the master’s quarters of the Cielo Sereno sect. As a single ray of moonlight shone through the window, his mother breathed her last breath, and he drew his first. As her eyes grew dull, his eyes gained their shine. The young boy caught the attention of every present person in the room. His eyes shone with a bright azure blue color clean as jade. As his body was wrapped in silk garments, he didn’t let out a single cry or scream from his mouth. Only a curious stare around the room, as his chest slightly rose and fell, indicating steady breathing.
It was a night of sorrow and happiness for the Cielo Sereno sect. As the master lost his wife, she granted him his firstborn son, whom he carried in his arms into the main assembly hall. Here the entirety of the sect was gathered to congratulate the master. Although his facial expression was resolute, within himself was a mixture of sorrow, grief, and pure happiness.
Seven years later - Age 7.As sunlight arose on the horizon and dew started vaporizing, a small, slender figure sat cross-legged on a platform of grass. Black hair messily laid around the head, as a bare, healthy bronze-colored upper body vaguely shone in the bright sparkles of light. This slender figure was of course Ciél. He had been sitting on that patch of grass, every morning since the age of 4, gathering his thoughts.
As dawn had arrived, the young heir’s daily activities soon began. After a quick breakfast, he attended martial arts training. Due to him being the heir, he should be able to defend himself and the sect from outsiders. He’d have to gain the recognition of the Elders, as they had a considerable amount of influence. Past noon, he’d attend training in emotional management and gracious behavior.
This schedule was all he did, day after day for years. The emotion-management training was finished within a couple of years, whereafter he concentrated on the martial arts. During his spare time, often just past noon, he’d be looking through his window, staring at the rest of the kids playing carelessly. Laughing, jumping, overall just having the time of their lives. Ciél wasn’t particularly interested in being the new heir and would give it all up to only be able to go out and play. He had often asked his father whether he was allowed to go out and play with the others but had been rejected every time.
“They’re not worth you nor your time, my son, even if you think they are, you have your practice to attend. You don’t have the time to have time to spare for these meaningless things.” This was how his father had rejected his request. Even when Ciél suggested he could train with doubled effort, his father just stared at him, huffed, and looked up. Ciél then knew nothing he said would do him any good.
Seven years later - Age 14.As the day's combat training ended, Ciél bowed to his teacher, hastily yet nimbly rushed towards the dining chambers, and finished his food within short minutes. This way he was able to relieve himself before evening training began. What he sought was a mouthing in the mountain wall, located not far away from the sect. Here he’d been spending his afternoons for a couple of years. It was overgrown with all sorts of plants and flowers, and at the center of the crater was a circular hot spring, brimming with life force. One could almost feel the plants cheering thrivingly, around in this rocky pit. Ciél had carved out a stairway that led to the cavity and thus didn’t have to worry about slipping and potentially falling down the steep mountain walls.
A faintly sweet fragrance covered the flower-filled, grassed floor. Swiftly, Ciél dropped his garments and slit into the hot spring. His naked body floated to the center, enveloped in the warm water. His tense muscles gradually relaxed, as his body seemed as if melting. Only the word, “bliss,” was on Ciél’s mind.

I don’t really want to return to the sect. But I can’t just run away either. I have no money, no idea of what the world outside is like. And I have a responsibility to uphold. But.. if what if I’d just be gone for a short time? What if I could come back when I’ve grown older? I could use the excuse to have me mature in the real world. Wouldn’t that rationalize taking off? It would, right? It should be possible. - Thoughts ravaged the mind of this young boy. These ideas had slowly built up the past year or two.
The heavy responsibility of having to take over the sect from his father, and never having met his mother who’d presumably grant him love and care. The love and care he desperately needed. The fact that he wasn’t allowed to play with the other children, not being allowed to be a child. Treated as the future sect master from his first breath, and to his last. It was incredibly taxing on his mind.
That afternoon, when he returned to the sect he faced his father. His right eye sparkled with desire, and his voice brimmed with excitement. Silence covered the room for a solid minute. At last, the sect leader heaved a deep sigh, as he looked up from his train of thought.
“Go. Mature. Have fun for once. I didn’t expect I was able to keep you here forever anyway,” he said, as he pulled out a pouch from a pocket within his robes and pushed it into Ciél’s hand.
“This contains a small amount of gold, it should be able to give you a headstart in the life of society.”
With this, Ciél attended his afternoon practice for the last time.
Five years later - Age 19Having become part of the vicious, and boring circle of city life, Ciél stumbled down the sidewalk, on his way from work.

Sigh~, this wasn’t exactly what I had in mind when I thought of leaving the sect. Life here is incredibly boring, to be honest. Everyone lives so repetitive lives, yet they seem to find joy in doing the same over and over again. Well, not that it is much different than what I went through at the sect… - He looked down, only to see one of his shoelaces having opened. He sat down to tie it when a low, crackling sound of an old box television started a commercial.
“Are you ready for the release of Gaia Reborn’s new Italian server? Launches today! New environments to explore! New monsters! New people! This action and fantasy MMORPG is made for the people tired of the boring everyday life. Well… to be fair, I don’t have much else to do with my life. I guess I could… try it, - he thought. Due to, school he had gotten himself a computer for homework and such things. He hadn’t really used it much.
He got home, opened his computer, and installed the game. As he got in, he pondered what class to choose. Monk. Monk was the class that fit him the most. Furthermore, it has what seemed like an interesting skill set.
He pressed the *Create Character* button, and everything went black.
