- Character -Name: Micaiah
Gender: Female
Apparent Age: 23
Face Claim: Sister Cleaire, NIJISANJI
Played By: Coldes
Faction: Gaian
- Appearance -Micaiah boasts a slender form standing 5ft 8in tall, and while she doesn’t possess the definite hourglass shape, one’d be hard-pressed to call her underdeveloped by any means. Not much of her skin is ever shown due to her religious habit. But of what can be seen from the neck and above, she has a healthy fair complexion while showing a hint of rosen tinges at the elevated spots of her face. She’s been gifted with a pair of expressive and richly amber colored eyes, rather suitable alongside her warm impression predominantly formed by the gentle smile curved by her thin lips. Her blonde straight hair is very long and is by routine left as is along her back with a few shorter bangs decorating the front and covering her ears. Her hands is on the delicate side and her long elegant fingers is one of the exterior qualities she’s most fond off of herself. A number of faded scars taints parts of her upper back.
Micaiah’s attire is that of what one could imagine from a woman of the church. She’s cladded in a long and plain black gown reaching down to her feet, with arm long sleeves, which of the ends are covered up by a pair of thin white fingered gloves. On top of and around her shoulders over the gown, rests a snow-white linen guimpe, tied together with a small bow at her neck. Her head is decorated with a black and white veil, which reaches far down her back alongside her long hair. She prefers long black socks reaching to her calves, and the simple shoes worn are that of cheap black leather. Lastly, underneath her gown, Micaiah carries around a rosary around her neck. As something she received after taking her very first vows as a sister, although not particularly extravagant or of great value, it is what Micaiah considers to be her most precious possession. As a result, rather than put on for show, they only ever make an appearance during her times of prayer.
- Personality -Micaiah is a bright young adult that while softspoken, is very open for dialogue and assistance to strangers unless they'd warrant some sort of suspicion. While she values honesty and would rather not tread into the sins of lying to others, she's flexibly cunning in bounding the lines of topics and answers she'd rather not answer. She in general approaches both new and familiar things with a smile, which can put a large strain on her when it comes to matters she truly dislike, yet she's open to continue on the task until finished. As one could expect, she's very devout, and ill speech, making light of and questioning her faith is a surefire quick way to start off with her on the wrong foot. Unlike the norm as a servant of god, she can be rather unforgiving when slighted or wronged in some sort of way. It can be hard to recognize this at times however, as she'll greet you with a usual smile, although it might come off as more indifferent than the usual. She prefers getting back on people passively through harmless annoyances, unless they're some sort of monster, where it's free game. She often heads out of town with tasks from the monestary, and while she does enjoy the venture of travel and of experience places not so familiar to what she's used to, she values home and it's inhabitants greatly.
Unfortunately however, Micaiah isn’t broad-minded enough to share her warmth impartial to everyone she comes across. Perhaps originating from her deep religious upbringing at the church, like so many other Gaians, Micaiah holds a strong contempt towards the deeply misunderstood devil race of Antas as a whole.
Naturally, Micaiah is all too familiar of this vile and unattractive part of herself. In the rare occasions she’s been in contact with one of “their” kind, she can’t help but to feel as if she’s looking upon something repugnant. While she may smile upon them in greeting, there’s no meaning or warmth behind such a notion. While not openly hostile, as a rule she tries to keep encounters as brief as possible. She envies her god’s benevolence in pardoning the existenve of Antas, despite their dubious history. In this way, she sees herself as somewhat of a sinful servant and tries to draw further devotion to cleanse her tainted and discriminative mind.
- Biography -A light shone brightly in the foot of a mountain valley. It was a chilly night in autumn, a busy time where the common folks frantically reaped their harvest in preparation for the winter to come. A resounding crash in the distance caught the curious attention of a young Micaiah. The sound came from one of the many roofs collapsing in upon itself, in a rural village whom's name have been lost to memory. It was an odd sense of wonder that had the young girl watching as if spellbound, as the violent crimson colors of dancing flames reflected beautifully off of her amber colored eyes, engulfing the place she'd once called home. What would have been a magnificently starry night sky, mixed into something that looked more akin the fierce light that could be spotted at the break of dawn. What started the fire, she didn't know. As a simple and parentless farm hand, Micaiah was never in on a lot that went around among the other villagers.
The weak tug of a small pair of hands on her waist snapped her back to her surroundings. Frantic loud orders of adult men mingled together with the cries of the young and consoling of teary mothers, painfully aware of their soon to be homeless status in the near future, into what only justifiably could be described as an incoherent mess. A slight wet sensation pried further investigation on what had taken ahold of her. Silvery blonde hair, tinted orange in the fiery light. It was her younger sister, burying her sobbing face into Micaiah's side. And with the lingering connection of this trembling figure, Micaiah's gaze returned back onto the sea of light once more.
In the end, it was the church who took them in. Alongside the two sisters, the younger siblings of the bigger households in the village was left no other choice than to offer their former families farewell and be left in the hands of the church as well. The adults could now barely scrape by for themselves and just couldn’t afford the custody of more than their first offspring.
While this was an anguished time for the many, Micaiah found great joy in the orphanage at the monastery. Maybe that was a rather natural result that came with her newfound “freedom”. Now more equal to those around her than ever, free to interact with the other youths her own age without worry after previously having to tip toe around what would have more than likely been her future employers. It didn't take long for young Micaiah to come to admire the nuns and sisters whom so graciously took in various castaways such as herself. She ended up putting her outmost effort into trying and parrot the humble cloistered life of her elders, followed frantically by her sister in tow. While they were strict and even unfair with her at times, she found the work far more gratifying than back when she'd found herself in the position of a simple farmhand, alien to the very people in her own workplace.
As her teenage years came along, Micaiah was much too old to remain as a resident to be cared for at the orphanage. Given her persistent discipline at the monestary over the years, she was given a recommendation to a understaffed church in a town closer to the capital as a sister. She's currently separated from her little sister with scarce communication in-between, save the occasional letter every fer months and have since been living as a vivid denizen in the remote town of Tivoli.
- Extra --Her favorite "chore" is in the tranquil lighting of candles with gentle flame at the monestary in the mornings.
-She's somewhat of clean freak with personal hygiene, and would rather avoid touching things and certain people without a glove.
-She's particularly fond of salty flavors when it comes to food and cooking.
-Since early on after visiting the city, Micaiah have found an excitable admiration for dancers, with their performances rarely failing to put a open smile across her face.
-She could briefly be seen in early promotional material as a quest npc.
