Crafting
An Adventurer is nothing without their equipment, and while one could simply try their luck at rare drops or treasure from the depths of a dungeon, there are those who wish to take matters of arming themselves - and others - into their own hands by becoming crafters. From chefs to blacksmiths, tailors to carpenters, and artisans to mechanics, there is a wide assortment of crafting Talents available for one to choose from. Items crafted by a player can be any level up to half the level of their crafting Talent. For example, if a Tailor wishes to craft a level 20 shirt, they must be at least level 40 in their crafting Talent.

Speed Crafting
Once a player has successfully crafted any item through writing a crafting thread, they will be allowed to craft more of that item without writing another thread, thus making it easy for a crafter to mass-produce an item. While this makes it a simple and easy matter when one wishes to create many identical items, speed crafting does not confer the same bonuses one might receive from writing a crafting thread, such as EXP. If one wishes to speed craft, all they must do is mention that they are speed crafting when posting a crafting claim. Before a speed crafting claim can be accepted, however, one must provide proof that they have completed the recipe manually in the past by linking a previous crafting claim for that item.

Quality
Below is a general synopsis of the level of quality one would expect from items of certain level ranges. These changes in quality are on a gradient, however; a level 1 health potion might recover 5% HP while a level 11 health potion might recover closer to 15% HP, but this is not to say a level 10 health potion would recover far less health than the level 11 potion. A good rule of thumb is this: the higher an item's level, the higher its quality.

- Level 1-10: Particularly weak items one would expect from a novice with little to no experience in their craft. Regarding armor and weapons, one should replace these fragile pieces of equipment as quickly as they can, as they look like they could easily break. Recovery items of this level have minimal efficiency, and if they are your only option, should be stockpiled. Most crafts in this range are weak and fragile.
- Level 11-25: Average in strength, items crafted at these levels are rather normal; not particularly powerful, but not weak either. A weapon in this level range is surely good enough to deal enough damage to be a threat, as well as deliver a blow without breaking, and armor at these levels provides sufficient protection and good durability. Food items in this range tend to have the tastes one would expect from how they look and are enough for a person to happily eat. Most of the clothing worn by Gaians are in this level range.
- Level 26-50: Though these items are more uncommon than those in the previous level range, their strength more than makes up for it. Weapons of these levels are impressive items often capable of standing up to the majority of monsters and enemies in Gaia, and the same can be said for armor of these levels.
- Level 51-75: This tier holds the most powerful items in the world of Gaia, reserved only for rare boss drops and event items. The items in this range are incredible pieces of equipment, often heralded in legends and stories as the kind of stuff heroes would use.[/font][/font]

Recipes
All craftable items have an associated recipe, including such information as the item's name, the required materials, the number of words one must write to complete an item, any other requirements such as crafting Talent level or specific facilities, and a description of the item. Crafting recipes are organized by their associated crafting Talent. Click on a Talent name to move to that Talent's recipe list.

Artisan

The Artisan talent is perfect for those with a desire for artistic excellence. Masters of works of art, jewelry and handicrafts, most players seek an Artisan when they wish to liven up their houses or don stat-boosting accessories. Many Gaians come from all over to partake in art galleries hosted by Artisans.

Blacksmith

Being your average fantasy MMORPG, it is only natural that the Blacksmith talent is one of the most prominent crafting roles. Skilled at mining ores from the earth, the Blacksmith can then refine these ores into metals for use in weapons, armor, furniture and more. There is plenty to be forged, and lots to be discovered.

Carpenter

Craftsmen who primarily work wood, the Carpenter is a talent for those hoping to make a wide variety of items, from staves and bows to furniture, projectiles and even armor. Carpenters are one of the crafting talents necessary for the reconstruction of the ruined buildings scattered about Romalia and elsewhere.

Chef

Ever since the apocalypse, attempts by non-Chefs to create dishes results in slurry. Not only do Chefs have to feed the Adventurer community, but their foods and drinks confer long-lasting buffs as well as recovery of Health and Mana upon those who eat them. This makes Chefs especially valued in the raiding community or expeditions.

Mechanic

A talent that focuses less on weapons and armor and more on creativity and potential. Masters of machinery and physics, Mechanics are able to create a wide assortment of various machines for any number of different uses, from combat to transportation or safekeeping, to so much more; the possibilities are endless.

Pharmacist

The Pharmacist is a talent specialized in creating a variety of potions, poisons, medicines and drugs for use in and out of combat. Pharmacists are greatly valued for their ability to craft potions capable of restoring Health or Mana, or temporarily granting powerful buffs. Many Pharmacists also choose to craft Poisons to inflict debilitating status effects, explosives, or containers for Mana.

Scribe

Scribes handle all sorts of tasks when it comes to physical documents. They can help with a Guild’s paperwork, or choose to craft magical Scrolls, Maps and Contracts on top of being able to create a miscellany of other combat-related crafts such as Grimoires. Their spell-holding Scroll makes them invaluable to parties without casters, and Maps are in a higher demand than ever now that Adventurers must explore the uncharted reaches of the Italian Server.

Tailor

All players came into this world with essentially the same type of basic adventurer outfit. It was not long before Tailors came into great demand as players sought to not only customize their appearance, but also to request cloth and leather armor as well as decorations for their homes and guild halls. Considering the amount of requests for armor and vanity, it came as no surprise that Tailors are highly popular.

Metallic Projectiles

Description: Arrows and bolts wrought from metals and alloys. Although ranged weapons have unlimited ammunition when used by adventurers, metallic projectiles deal more damage than the normal ones and can be customized to behave differently.

Description: High or Low Monster Type Whistles are crafted out of a single piece of Wood. High Type Whistles repel monsters of their type, while Low Type Whistles attract them. The radius of the whistle’s effect is equal to the item’s level. These only attract Common Monsters of the specified Type. While in combat, using the whistle halves or doubles existing Aggro of any monsters of the type on the user.
The Carpenter can craft Type Whistles for Beasts, Insects, Aquatic and Avian enemies. The Whistles can be used once before breaking. Once broken, it takes a full minute to repair them.


Enhance Craft

On-the-Go Meal

Description: Meals that come prepared and pre-packaged, ready for consumption between battles. They recover less health and mana than a sit-down meal and give a shorter-lasting buff, but the ability to consume them between battles or without further preparation is invaluable.


Fast Food

Description: Food that can be easily held in one hand and eaten or consumed rapidly. While inelegant, it is not unheard of for Adventurers to use fast food for a quick recovery to health and mana much like a potion and a small, minor stat boost while they are busy fighting.


Hot Beverage

Pet Food

Description: Odorous food processed into balls and enhanced with oils and spices, intended to draw the attention of nearby monsters and keep them occupied. Different Monsters require different food to distract them.

Description: Complex instruments such as accordions or pianos. These can be used as magic weapons by bards or as normal instruments by anyone else. Mechanics can also craft Music Boxes which work in a somewhat similar fashion to a Scribe’s Spell scrolls. When crafted, the music box is set to play a song corresponding to a Bard’s Music Skill and can be used once per thread to grant the effects of the Music Skill to the person that activates the music box. The Music Skill played can only be a R1 skill if the music box’s level is lower than 30, and cannot be R3 unless the music box is level 45 or higher.


Mechanical Puppeteer’s Mannequin

Description: A large frame for use by Puppeteers, can be made of wood or metal or a combination of both. Although commonly humanoid in shape, this is not required. Inhuman shapes are harder to control and take some getting used to for the puppeteer.
